About Lacey D. Smith
Lacey Smith joined Tobias & Comer Law in October 2022 after spending the first part of her career at a Mobile insurance defense firm, where she was a partner and represented corporate clients in high-stakes lawsuits throughout the state and country.
A Mobile native, Lacey has more than 15 years of complex civil litigation experience, primarily in products liability, employment law, medical and professional liability, and toxic torts. She is experienced in handling cases on appeal and has presented oral arguments before the Alabama Supreme Court and the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
She brings the knowledge and skills gained while defending corporate clients to advocating for injury victims and their families. Her background also informs her understanding of how defense lawyers and insurers evaluate cases and litigation strategies.
Lacey and her husband, Glenn Smith, have two young boys. They enjoy time at local ballparks, Alabama football games, and trying something new on the grill.
